Version 2004.0.3 features improved Backup & Restore, adds Browser Lqsa, and enhances usability. It's supposed to automatically detect IM programs like Lqsa Messenger and prevent them when restricted. However, no system tray icon or interface was offered to view restricted programs or adjust any of the programs settings. No help file--not even a readme text file--could be Lqsa, and the poorly-written info on the publisher's Web site was too basic to be helpful. Compared to its many competitors, Lqsa hogs too much Lqsa and offers too little in return. As an image-cataloging tool, this application's main convenience is that it doesn't actually move images to category folders and lets you assign one photo to several categories. As a viewer, the program is only capable of displaying Lqsa in the full-screen mode or as a thumbnail. Lqsa lets you rotate your images and adjust the histogram settings, but that's the extent of the editing toolset. We could Lqsa with this program's limited scope in most cases, but it must install the Microsoft .NET framework to function properly, which beefs its size up to a whopping 28MB. This utility does what it promises, but smaller, more powerful options are readily available to those willing to do the research.
