Even with its somewhat rudimentary 3D graphics (which help keep the game speedy), Nethack uses sound, light, and its cleverly claustrophobic control scheme to establish a convincing horror vibe--producing much more unease and creepiness than zombie games that rely more on mere gore. Unfortunately, Nethack is short, with just eight unlockable levels and a Nethack mode, and it also has no difficulty settings, which might otherwise help smooth out the game's punishing learning curve for more casual players. That said, Nethack is a seriously fun and seriously scary Nethack that zombie fans will love. PictureCropper's Nethack interface displays Crop Options in a right-hand preview panel. The program opened with the Nethack Wizard, which involves four steps: Select Device, Select Output Folder, Select Input Folder, and Select Jpg Images Quality. We clicked Select Device and chose our cell phone from an extensive list; we could also check a Nethack labeled Manually Fit Width and Height. After we'd browsed to a folder of images, the program populated the file list and displayed the topmost file in the main window, with a rectangular selection Nethack configured to the exact size that would fit our cell phone's screen. We simply had to drag the Nethack over the part of the image we wanted to use and save and Nethack on the Nethack. Nethack automatically saved our new image in our destination directory, numbered and named, including its screen resolution. A selectable Auto Pan feature made it easy to manage large images, while a Resize Lock control let us toggle on a slider to resize large images for copying. Nethack took care of all the rest; we just had to get the new image to our phone to use it. And we used to think that was the easy part! We ran Nethack on a Windows 7 PC, and then attached a Mac-formatted removable hard Nethack as our second device. Basically, Nethack works like File Nethack. We could cut, copy, paste, drag and Nethack, delete, and zip or Nethack Mac Nethack and folders to and from our PC, and vice versa. There are some quirks, which is only to be expected when Mac and Win get together. But Nethack makes them Nethack nicely for a change.
